Our Content Marketing Work Lives Up to Its Promise
These case studies are proof that hiring the right team with the right approach pays off.

We redesigned the Levels newsletter and increased the open rate by 40% YOY.
Project: Levels, a health and wellness company committed to improving metabolic health through biowearables, asked Revel to consult on newsletter strategy and support the relaunch of the brand’s editorial newsletter.
Our Approach: After conducting an in-depth strategy review, Revel developed and built a new version of the editorial digest within their preferred email service and was soon tasked with ongoing production management. Through improved design and UX, strong copywriting, thoughtful content planning and curation, A/B testing, performance monitoring, and strategic analysis, Revel helped make an already successful newsletter with a high open rate even better.
Results: Within one year of the initial strategy project and less than eight months of managing the newsletter production, Revel helped Levels see a 40% growth in open rates, 19% increase in click-through-rates, and 51% reduction in unsubscribe rates.

We built a world-class health advisory board.
Project: Babylist, the leading online universal baby registry, wanted to build a Health Advisory Board to further establish the brand as a trusted authority in the pregnancy and parenting space.
Our Approach: We researched, recruited, and vetted more than 60 doctors, researchers, and health professionals to find the best strategic partners for the brand.
Results: In three months, the inaugural Babylist Health Advisory Board launched with a diverse group of 10 phenomenal experts committed to helping new and expecting parents feel less overwhelmed and more confident during this exciting life stage.

We developed a strategic content roadmap that led to 8x SEO growth.
Project: Origin, the progressive women’s health company offering pelvic floor physical therapy, sought to improve brand awareness and drive organic traffic to the site.
Our Approach: Over four weeks, we built an SEO roadmap that set the brand up for success. This work involved identifying immediate content opportunities focused on traffic growth and conversion, along with developing an extensive content plan and dashboard to support execution.
The Results: In one year, Origin’s organic search traffic increased 84%. We re-engaged with the brand to develop an updated SEO roadmap to support 2023 business goals.

We laid the groundwork for an efficient, scalable digital content program.
Project: When home care provider TheKey rebranded with a mission to change how we age at home, the executive team knew a foundational content program would be essential to get their message out to the right audience.
Our Approach: We developed the brand’s unique editorial identity along with a robust content plan that focused on SEO and leveraged the expertise of their renowned Scientific Advisory Board and other affiliated experts. We then set up a streamlined editorial workflow to produce ready-to-publish articles plus complimentary social media posts.
The Results: Several fundamental articles already show up on page one of Google search results for key terms, including “Ask the Expert: How to Cope with Anger as a Family Caregiver.” Content continues to publish throughout 2023.

We developed an ebook to attract new customers and communicate core tenets of the brand.
Project: Meru Health, an innovative company with a technology-driven, holistic solution for mental health support, wanted to produce a compelling ebook on men’s mental health.
Our Approach: We dove deep into the latest research on mental health, collaborated with seasoned experts, and distilled our findings into a beautifully packaged resource available to potential and existing Meru Health users.
Results: In the words of Meru Health’s VP of Marketing John Bradley, the final product was “branded content that people actually want to read.”

We grew a startup from 2 to 10 million monthly uniques.
Project: Greatist—the web’s largest health site for millennials—set out to scale the brand with a small team that produced much less content than its competitors.
Our Approach: We prioritized quality over quantity. Our creative process ensured every piece of content—new and existing—was fully optimized for our largest traffic sources (search and social).
Results: In one year, monthly uniques more than doubled from 2 to 5 million. The following year uniques grew to over 10 million.
